U.P. Wide Adventure Guide is owned and operated by U.P. resident Kellie Nightlinger with only occasional outside assistance. Kellie has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice-Public Safety from Lake Superior State University. Kellie has a background of 12 years in Law Enforcement ranging from Marine Deputy, State Trooper, Tribal Police Officer and Conservation Officer.
As a Marine Deputy and Conservation Officer, Kellie received vast professional training in outdoor activities. She has spent countless hours in both peninsulas as a Conservation Officer, encountering people enjoying Michigan’s outdoors. Kellie has seen what Michigan to offer and she wants to share her training and experiences with people to leave them with life lasting memories.

Kellie grew up in the country near Sanford, Michigan. Her life-long passion is being outdoors and as a little girl she visited the U.P. and dreamed of someday living there.
In 2003 she moved to the Upper Peninsula to fulfill her dream; thereby ending frequent treks to the “paradise peninsula” and finally living in it. Kellie’s happiest moments in life have been spent outdoors and sharing those experiences with those who have grown to appreciate such adventures.

Kellie is an avid hunter, kayaker, fisherman, and extreme outdoor enthusiast. Kellie’s teaching experiences include; working with emotionally and trainably impaired students at a developmental high school, teacher aide in a special education class, hunter safety instructor, marine safety instructor, snowmobile safety instructor, American Red Cross First Aid and CPR instructor, and teaching conservation at civic and school groups. Kellie has also taught numerous people kayaking and backpacking techniques.

U.P. Wide Adventure Guide is a new venture for Kellie, but it is one that she is pouring her heart and soul into. Kellie assures you that if hired she would give you the tools to make lifelong memories while enjoying the outdoor splendors of the beautiful Upper Peninsula. By the way, Kellie is not a Native American, only at heart. |
